Dermal fillers are injectable gels that help to restore youthful volume, fill wrinkles, or a combination of both. Most injectable fillers are hyaluronic acid-based—and as HA occurs naturally, these injections are easily accepted by the body and unlikely to cause an allergic reaction.
Will filler injections hurt?
Filler injections take only minutes to complete. If you have certain areas that are more sensitive, we can help anesthetize those areas to minimize discomfort. This may include topical numbing creams or strategic nerve blocks. Injections take a few moments per site. The entire process typically takes less than an hour.
Is there any downtime with dermal filler injections?
Downtime is minimal, but there can be mild bruising in some areas. There are no significant restrictions after treatment. You may resume normal activities right away. Avoid strenuous activity for 24 to 48 hours to help minimize swelling and bruising.
